The new online session will start on 3 Sep- 10 Dec 2024, 12 weeks, 1.5 hours each. The levels offered in this session are beginner 1 , 2 & 3, elementary 1 & 3, intermediate 1. **Group classes require a minimum of 4 students. If there are less than 4 students in a scheduled class, the rate or duration is subject to change which will be communicated with the interested students.

Beginner 1 course highlights:

- Introduction of 48 Chinese radicals in 12 weeks (optional depending on students' interest)

- Comparison ( 過 gwo3 and 啲di1)
- Speaking and listening exercises through role play, games etc
- Reinforce the use of question words through speaking
Beginner 3 course highlights:
- 48 Chinese Radicals in 12 weeks (optional depending on students' interest)
- More classifiers (11 classifiers)
- Passive voice: 將 (zoeng1) and 比 (bei2)/ 被 (bei6)
- Transportation and directions
- Colors and shopping
- Use of before/ after
- Aspect markers 完 (jyun4), 倒 (dou2), 晒 (saai3)
- Speaking and listening exercises through role plays, songs, games etc.
- Speaking around past/future events, description of events/ people, basic commentary, expression of emotions etc.
Elementary course highlights:
- 48 Chinese Radicals in 12 weeks (optional depending on students' interest)
- Focus on listening comprehension
- More classifiers (19 classifiers)

- Speaking around events with conjunctions to convey a more complex idea, more advanced commentaries, expressing your opinions etc.
Inter-Advanced course highlights:
Textbook: Teach Yourself Cantonese by Hugh Baker and Ho Pui-Kei
- At this level, students should be able to follow the class which is 90% of time in Cantonese
- Classes focus mainly on speaking as students are supposed to have had a grasp of basic grammar and syntax. More complex grammar notions will be mentioned whenever required
- Speaking exercises revolve around social, cultural or even political commentaries
- Reading and writing can be taught if there's a demand
